Amherst College Basketball and Tennis Center - this heavy timber structure built in 1976 houses a tennis and basketball facility seating 2,000 spectators. It is built upon a concrete floor that contains the warm air delivery system from an external mechanical system. The playing surface is poured in place urethane. The public spaces are well finished and the interior of the court space has painted masonry and wool paneling. Spans are 130'x 260'. The gross area is 35,800 sq.ft.
